Protective effects of flavonoids isolated from <i>Agrocybe aegirita</i> on dextran sodium sulfate‐induced colitis

Mushroom derived phytochemical has become the promising agent to treat inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Here, we investigated effect of flavonoids from &lt;i&gt;Agrocybe aegirita&lt;/i&gt; (AAF) on dextran sodium sulfate-induced colitis. Our results showed that had a certain physical signs in mice (improving weight loss mice, reducing DAI index and spleen mice). AAF could also significantly reduce shortening colon, improve level tissue damage colon inflammation. Besides, alleviate status including levels TNF-α IL-1β increasing IL-10. In addition, promoted growth goblet cells enhance intestinal barrier function (the secretion mucin were increased). conclusion, potential relieve DSS-induced colitis be novel therapy for combating with IBD.
